EXAMPLES OF PAST COMMISSIONS AND TESTIMONIALS

"I approached Leasha with an idea for a tree shaped sculpture to be located on a bare, North facing wall of my house, measuring approximately 3.0 by 2.5 metres. It is a very exposed site and whilst my original thoughts tended towards the use of stainless steel sheet, Leasha proposed using stainless steel braided wires so as to provide texture to the sculpture. Her original sketches and designs were exactly what I had envisaged and after one or two site visits the final design was agreed upon. Throughout the making of the sculpture regular progress reports were provided and Leasha was on site to supervise the fixing of the sculpture to the wall. The piece has drawn very favourable comments from both family and friends when visiting and it sits very comfortably in the garden setting of the house. As one person remarked “It looks as though it has always been there “. What better comment could one wish for ?. Leasha is a very professional and innovative artist and it has been a pleasure to work with her on this project and , of course, to possess one of her fine pieces of workmanship". David Price

" We contacted Leasha Craig who is known to the Sub Branch through her involvement with Veteran activities and as an artist. With a broad concept for a statue and a theme of WWI "Brothers in Arms" in mind, Leasha was invited to develop a two thirds size bronze and quote for its production.
Leasha submitted a well- researched design which met all our requirements, at a very competitive price and within our time frame. She was subsequently engaged to produce this sculpture. During the production process we were continually consulted and updated on her progress. As the clay model was produced it was evident that Leasha had incorporated meticulous and fine details of the uniforms worn by WWI soldiers. The finished product was a superb sculpture delivered on time and on budget. It has drawn considerable praise and acclaim from the members of our Sub Branch and the public and is the highlight of the reconstructed memorial and the Terrigal Beach Foreshore.
We have no reservation in recommending Leasha as a very dedicated and talented artist who ssuccessfully managed our complex assignment".

"THE ETERNAL FLAME"
Mirrored polished stainless steel & Electronic Technology Installed Toukley RSL Sub Branch Cenotaph, Toukley, NSW |
"Approximately 8 years ago the Sub Branch was endeavouring to find someone who could provide copper artwork of an Army Nurse for our display area. We were fortunate enough to engage the services of a local artist and the quality of her workmanship left an indelible impression on me.
Leasha not only designed the Eternal Flame, but also engaged the technology to ensure that we have a light which is visable twenty four hours a day. At night the flame is probably viewed at its most illuminated time. The Flame was turned on by the Federal Member for Dobell, Emma McBride, on Remembrance Day 2019. The comments from the community who have seen this wonderful addition to our Cenotaph are all positive and in recent times I personally have been told that this is the most respectful memorial they have ever seen. Although Leasha installed the flame some six months ago, she has returned on a regular basis to ensure that the flame is cleaned and in running order: another of the fine characteristics of this dedicated and talented artist. I am very grateful to Leasha for her knowledge and input in providing the Toukley RSL Sub Branch with something of which we are all very proud. I welcome any inquiries and would highly recommend Leasha for any work in her field of expertise in the future." Bob Wilson President Toukley RSL Sub Branch - 2019 |
