ARTIST STATEMENT
Tree Change was the first sculpture that I created since moving out to the NSW Central Tablelands, this was literally a tree change for me. Moving out on to a 600 acre farm, surrounded by the beautiful landscape of the Capertee Valley, the bounty of bird life, the peace and serenity that creates a such a calming relaxing environment, the perfect place to create. The move also gave me a new appreciation of nature and our place within it. Tree Change is ambiguous, symbolic of my move out West and also of living at peace with and in appreciation of our earth and its creations.
